This year, BlushPretty held their annual BeautyBoard event at Loft404 on Adelaide Street in Toronto. In this post I will show photos of different vendors, give a little insight on the event itself and show you what I got in the "swag bag"!
This event cost $35 + tax and included 20 companies showcasing their products. You have the ability to purchase products, talk to representatives and network with companies. In order to get your swag bag you have to complete 3 review cards on 3 random brands given to you at the beginning of the event. Not everything was beauty related, which surprised me, and there weren't very many make-up only brands. The brands them self were mainly natural or organic. Many skin and body care brands were present.
As for the venue, food and drinks, I think it could have been better. The venue was incredibly hot and many vendors had tiny tables that were at knee height or lower. This made it hard to see the products. Many ladies were in skirts and dress and I desperately needed a belt so bending down was not really an option. Overall, I thought the event could have been better, it was not terrible, but I wasn't overly impressed.
Now for the event photos! Beware, this is a picture heavy blog!

And now onto everything in the swag bag!
Overall I thought the Beauty Board was a great experience but I'm not sure if I would attend again. Yes the swag bag was worth the $40, yes I got to network with many brands but the whole event to me wasn't all that exciting. I'm glad I was introduced to new brands and fellow bloggers and I'm glad to be trying out many of these products. But overall, I think a few things could have been better.
Stay tuned for reviews on many of these products to come!
