Glymm Bag - September 2012

September 23, 2012

This bag was definitely nothing to be excited about. I am happy I have unsubscribed to Glymm. I really dislike being such a downer and negative person in these beauty box videos but it's been ages since I've been excited about any of them!

This month's bag was the same as last months but off white instead of black.
They do not put any sort of bubble wrap or extra packing (other than a piece of tissue paper). Many people have had items explode or spill in previous boxes.
First off, the two products I thoroughly enjoyed in this box!
Shampoo -  "Ideal for both color treated and virgin hair, this Shampoo gently cleanses while infusing moisture and nutrients, leaving hair nourished."
I really enjoyed using this product, it did not lather as much as I'd like but it made me hair very soft!
Conditioner -   "Rather than coating hair, this conditioner penetrates the hair shaft to moisturize and repair hair from the inside out."
I found this conditioner very interesting. That description is pretty spot on with the effects it left on my hair!
"Gently wipe your eyes & lips with love and good intention. Soon they will be sparkling clean. No need to rinse."
I found this far too oily.  I do not own waterproof mascara and I found it did not do a very good job at taking off regular mascara. These also irritated my eyes quite bad.
"The high-quality super moisturizing face cream for girls is made from 100% natural active ingredients: apple, prickly pear, strawberry, kiwi, kigelia africana and macadamia oil."
I have yet to try this out but my experience with the last Bentaberry product we received was not a pleasant one.
"Whip your skin into shape and 'redefine bad' with this thick, yet light and quite soluble body crème - much like edible whipped heavy cream. Yum."
I love the smell of this product, it's like a gingerbread house! Perfect for winter time. I'm not sure how it applies but I will update when I try it!
And that's all. It's not completely HORRIBLE but it is definitely not very good. I don't mind shampoo samples and I really enjoyed these two hair samples. The body creme doesn't seem so bad either. I think Glymm may be a bit more worried about the bags they come in than the products themselves.
Hopefully any future beauty boxes I receive don't result in such negative posts!
Are any of you subscribed to Glymm? What was in your bag?
Carly Jean!
