This past April Ashley, Dee and I were invited to ESI Toronto by O.R.G Skincare. The product we were all there to see was the Organic Mineral Peel for Face. The demo given at the event is more or less the same demo shown in this blog post. I also created a video (at the end of this post) talking about my thoughts and doing a little demo of the product on my cheeks.
O.R.G Skincare is a brand based in Los Angeles with products manufactured in Korea. Brian and Suzie are the founders and owners with great personalities to go with great products. ORG has a body peel and soap as well for sale at the moment with more products in the works!
The packaging is awesome! Eco Friendly and definitely unique.
The bottle itself is glass with a spray top. Very simplistic but effective.
This is the first liquid peel I have ever tried or seen. Many peels are generally creams or gels. The liquid itself has a very subtle scent that smells like nothing more than the ingredients inside. I don't notice the smell when applying unless I'm trying to smell it.
I've had it for just over a month and I am more than 3/4 through (photo above is a few weeks old). I've used it about 6 times in total and average 6 sprays each time. I do my entire face usually.
Here is a few blurbs describing the product from the O.R.G website!
- "Toxic-Free Ingredients. Organic Mineral Peel is free of any harmful chemicals or toxins. We're proud to say Organic Mineral Peel is free of any alcohol, sulfates, parabens, & petroleum."
- "Introducing the first all-natural enzyme exfoliant to offer instant results within minutes of application. Visually see the removal of deep dermal debris resulting in a brighter and more youthful appearance."For more info visit: http://www.orgskincare.com/our-exfoliant
Let's do a little demo!
I did two sprays about 2 inches away from my hand. I used the other hand to create circular motions all over the wet surface.
I continue rubbing until it's almost completely dry and then wipe off with a clean towel.
Ofcourse since this was on my hand you aren't going to see an amazing difference. It does look a tad brighter to me and it feels baby smooth.
I do a demo on my face in the video.
I use this about once a week at night in place of my every other day exfoliate. I don't see a need to do it any more than that, I don't like to over exfoliate. My skin feels nice and soft after use, it has never irritated my skin and I can go without rinsing after. Because you are literally lifting up dead skin, I suggest moisturizing after, I always do. You can definitely use this during the day under makeup, it really gives you a smooth canvas.
I haven't noticed a difference regarding my pigmentation issues, but I didn't entirely expect it to. That is a result many people have experienced and I wish it did for me as well. My pigmentation is quite severe and really deep in there.
Overall Thoughts: A +
I definitely recommend it for any skincare buffs out there. I will continue to use it and would definitely consider getting it again. It helps my moisturizer sink in better at night and I think it is a great exfoliatant.
