Soap & Glory Wowed Mouth Lip Palette: Review, Photos & Swatches!

April 20, 2013

Review Time! I got the lovely Soap & Glory Wowed Palette in my beauty swap with SkinDeepBlogger, you can see that here.

This palette includes 6 shades of Soap & Glory's Super-Colour Fabulipstick and I couldn't be happier!
Packaging:
I love the design of this palette! From what I seen of other Soap & Glory products the names are always clever. The packaging is very thin and light and would be perfect for someones kit and for traveling. It comes with a little dual ended lip brush which is very precise and very usable. It has a great size mirror that I have used many times, I love when palettes have a mirror. It came with a clear rectangular protector that I keep on at all times.
It opens and closes by the way of a magnet and I feel the whole feel of the packaging is more expensive than it actually is.
The photos for the individual shades on the back sort of confuse me. I don't feel they match the shades at all.
Formula & Swatches:
The lighting in my room made the colours look incredibly similar and I didn't understand why a palette would be made with such similar colours. Once I took it near a window I noticed how lovely and different the colours really were. It applies like a creamy lipstick and appears satin like on the lips. It has a slight gloss at first but dries to a demi-matte, flattering finish.
From Right to Left, Top to Bottom
Excuse the messy applications below. The photos below were taken right after applied, the finish is slightly more matte once it dries.
Sorry for the blurry photo! A slightly brown toned beige that would compliment many skintones.
I LOVE this colour. This is totally a colour I would wear every day.
The name slightly confuses me on this one, regardless it's a lovely mauve berry tone!
Probably the most wearable out of them all. A "My lips but better" type colour. A perfect pink for many skintones.
I love the slight coral tone in this off-red shade. Definitely a little rusty and very flattering!
It looks a bit more red in the photo above but I find it to be as close to this photo as possible. A pink toned red that I love!
The description on the website states that the lipsticks are a "Collagen Boosting  Lipstick with Plumping Pre-Peptides". I personally did not notice any plumping effects or sensation. Usually I steer away from plumping lip products but I didn't notice anything.
Overall Thoughts - A
I don't think there is anything wrong with this palette. Travel friendly and budget friendly! The lipsticks are supposed to be plumping which I did not find happened.
Amount of Product - 6 x 1.0g
Average Price - £12, purchased for £7
Where to Buy - I think this is limited edition, I cannot find it anywhere. SDBB purchased it at Boots.Description - Super-Colour Fabulipstick: "Featuring ULTIMELT™ lip shine & shaping technology, 3-D PLUMP™ peptide complex, Shea Butter, Monoi Butter & Vitamin E. Hyaluronic acid and Ceramide 2 (for aging repair and visible wrinkle reduction) help to give a soft, smooth, dewy, plump colour-fill pout."

Have you tried any Soap & Glory products or this palette in particular? How do you feel about lipstick palettes, a hit or a miss in your books?
