Top Box: December 2012!

December 21, 2012

This was definitely not the best box I've ever received from Topbox. It wasn't even slightly holiday themed there was nothing festive at all! No pretty wrapping, sparkly things, or even a dinky candy cane, NOTHING! I was surprised by this considering many other boxes go out of their way to make it festive!

Along with the tracking number every month you are assigned a box number. This box number is visible on your Canada Post tracking page. I received box 22, but I saw some other peoples boxes and I am happy to have received mine. There are so many different variations of boxes that many of them just completely stunk.
I received the recycled packaging again. I'm finding this tube idea to be quite silly considering the amount of wasted space. Our products are tiny and not even close to filling up the tube.
Here are the contents of this month's box. Meh.
China Glaze Nail Polish in Purr-fect Plum
Sorry for the messy paint job, I didn't have any top coat and I didn't let me nails dry fully. I used a makeup glitter on my ring finger.
The colour is nice, it matches my jeans from my recent OOTD quite perfectly. I like this colour and I enjoy China Glaze polishes.
I'm not overly thrilled about this product but it is not the worst I could have gotten. It has a hold level of 3 out of 5 which I could care less about to be honest. I will probably only use this when curling my hair.
Notes: Pink Peony, Freesia, Lychee, Magnolia Flower, Lilly of the Valley, Rose, Cedarwood, Amber, Honey.
I'm not the BIGGEST fan but I will definitely use it. It has quite a tart smell, which might not make any sense to anyone but myself haha. What I really dislike about this is the fact that on the back of the box it says "Free Sample". If this is a free sample, why is this included as a deluxe sample if we can easily get this for free?
There is about 1/4 of product in this little tub. It is a nice shade but I doubt I will use this.
Left to Right: Blended out, Just product, On top of Too Face Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue.
Not too sure how this would work on the lips but on your lids you would definitely need a primer. This is far too shimmery for a blush in my opinion but to each their own!
That is it, not all that exciting eh? What do you think? Would you consider this worth $12 because I don't!
